PREVIEW OF "COMING ATTRACTIONS" IF ROMNEY SHOULD GET THE GOP NOMINATION
The following is just a foretaste of the brutal reception that the Democrats are preparing for the Gucci Chameleon, "Slick" Willard Mitt Romney, should he advance to the general election:
"Critics note that Romney's tenure as CEO of the leveraged buyout firm Bain Capital resulted in the loss of thousands of jobs through layoffs and bankruptcies. Romney, the wealthiest candidate in the 2008 presidential race, ran Bain Capital from 1984 to 1999, during which time he earned the bulk of his fortune.
Bain Capital specialized in buying companies in distress and revamping them, often by cutting jobs and closing plants. Some of Bain's purchases became more efficient and successful businesses, while others, loaded with debt from Bain's fees, were forced into bankruptcy, costing more jobs."
Becoming a multi-millionnaire by cutting and off-shoring jobs . . . employing illegals as personal staff while flip-flopping on immigration . . . forcing companies into bankruptcy . . . Romney would be weighted down with all of these charges by the Democratic machine and liberal 527 groups.
Romney cleanly dovetails with all the negative stereotypes that the Democrats promote about Republicans. More critically, he's shown absolutely no ability to relate to ordinary Americans (the ones who depend upon the good faith of managers like Bain Capital to preserve quality American jobs)
As Governor Huckabee has said "You can't have a president who sees a whole bunch of America as invisible. If you make a decision at the top and you don't understand how it affects the person all the way at the bottom, then you're not ready to lead. Leadership is about seeing the whole field . . . [O]ur Republican Party is going to be in trouble if we creating policies and acting like we don't understand what those folks are feeling out there waiting the tables, handling bags, driving the trucks, and moving the freight around."
Nothing in Romney's techocratic background or campaign rhetoric suggests he get any of this.
The vain Bain Capitalist will be easy to paint as another aloof, greedy job cutter who doesn't care about the "little guy." (notwithstanding his $20 Billion plan to bail out the Detroit automakers)
Bishop Mitt simply has too much baggage to be the GOP nominee.

Haven't read much of your blog, but I've gotta say, this post is a off-base.
Pretty much every way you've attacked Mitt has been taken from the pages of a fantasy-land main stream media.
Mitt has demonstrated an amazing ability to relate to voters at every level, to stand with conviction regarding what he believes, and to capably bring successful change where it is really needed.
Mitt created more jobs than were lost with Bain (although you'll find plenty of sources that cherry-pick negative statistics on that).
For whatever reason, Mitt has long been unfairly the victim of character pot shots like this post.

Well, the Mittens will be out for blood now. The only answer Slick Willard has when confronted with facts about his record is "he's lying, it's not so.... MOMMMMMM!" Now he's trained his Mittens to go out into Blogsville with the same lame message.
I don't personally care about Slick Willard's ventures with Bain Capital, though they do tell us something of his character. I simply can't buy his line that as he was filing his FEC papers for an exploratory committee, the scales fell from his eyes and he suddenly realized children have a right to be born and Boston Drag Queens do not have a right to be married.
His record says he will do otherwise. Even the disciples were skeptical of Paul after his Damascus Road experience -- they had to see evidence that the conversion was real.
Unfortunately, the former LDS Bishop hasn't delivered a convincing sermon.
Quiverdaddy, you're obnoxious. In the middle of your insults, the only substantive thing you said was that you can't believe Romney's explanation of his changing view on abortion and gay marriage (except that you said it condescendingly... and stupidly). Romney has never supported gay marriage. Facts are stubborn things. Do some research before you join the bandwagon of finger-pointing, insult-throwing, sanctimonious, nay-sayers.
Coach, Romney certainly has thrown up roadblocks to stopping "gay marriage:"

Mitt's failure to lead on this issue is a major reason why we need a federal constitutional amendment.
I've since read a few of the other posts on this blog, and hence realized that anything I write here is pretty much a waste of time. But I'm a sucker for the truth being heard, so I have a hard time staying away.
Look. Romney never supported gay marriage. He supported gay people not being discriminated against, though, and that meant some benefits that are controversial. But never marriage. Period. He acted in response to the supreme court admirable and responsibly, not imposing his personal views against the highest court of the state.
I realize you're taking straight from the anti-Romney script on gay issues, so let me save you some time. I'm aware of massresistance's attacks. I also have a 40 page document that addresses them all, showing the many inaccuracies and out-of-context double speak.
If you disagree with Romney that gays deserve not to be discriminated against, fine. Disagree. But don't buy the MSM distortion of his view or his record.
Huckabee doesn't need a "40 page document" to explain his TRADITIONAL conservative position on special rights for persons who choose to engage in GLBTQ conduct.
NO SPECIAL RIGHTS, period.
The law does not need to recognize, nor encourage, nor subsidize, nor promote GLBTQ conduct. It does not need to legitimize such acts or force society to accept such acts as "mainstream" behavior.
Obviously, some will desire to engage in such behaviors under the cloak of darkness. But society as a whole is under no obligation whatsoever to grant its stamp of public approval on them.
So now capitalism is evil where we all have an equal chance to make money. And those that make the most must be corrupt and have bad leadership skills.
Also saving entire companies equates to firing people. So let's get this straight. If you get rid of 10% of your employees, but save the company from bankruptcy (90% of the employees) You are evil for firing under all circumstances.
This does not get into the fact that his partners tell a completely different story, and the fact that he has zero scandals unlike McCain and Huck.
Go to Cuba where you won't find such evil rich people, and the government gives you all. Here's to communism!!!
Romney wouldn't need a 40 page document either if people would give him the courtesy of addressing the facts rather than just repeating the character assassination they've heard elsewhere. I don't disagree with what you've said about GLBTQ issues.
